This training is not for you if you're:
❈ Just looking for a training that provides a certificate - of course, we do provide THE certificate that every budding Children's Yoga Teacher wants to get their hands on, the Yoga Alliance RCYT 95-Hours, but we are so SO much more than that!
❈ Not willing to contribute with an open-heart and open-mind.
❈ Not a fan of morning dance-offs, chanting, singing, art, play - because we do A LOT of that.
❈ Looking for a course that provides 10-days of ONLY yoga movement. We study ALL aspects of yoga and childhood including philosophy, Hindu Mythology, meditation, behavior management, learning styles, breathing techniques, psychology, mindfulness, & therapeutic approaches to yoga and childhood.
❈ Not ready for a personal transformation or to step up to make a positive change in children's lives - whether that is at home with your own children, grandchildren or nephews and nieces, or whether its on a grander scale, working world-wide. We encourage change, we cultivate transformation, we guide and support you through this process, far beyond the 10-days that we will spend together on the course.

What Do We Offer?
Our trainings are one of a kind! We're focused on giving you all the confidence, inspiration, and knowledge that you need to thrive as a children's yoga and meditation teacher.
This unique Yoga Alliance Registered programme combines relevant educational philosophy and up-to-date research with all elements of yoga, mindfulness and meditation, incorporating key teaching methodology and practices plus Kristy's 20+ years' experience of working with children and families. You will be able to confidently create, plan, lead and manage interactive, engaging, and creative yoga classes for children, teens and families.
We provide you with all the tools, techniques, and inspiration that you need to develop your own individual, creative lessons to share with children of all ages and abilities. We are focused on providing a holistic, nurturing environment for children, combining elements of musical mantras, interactive story-telling, art, nature, movement and dance, group discussions and play to explore the principles and practices of yoga and mindfulness.

Our small group trainings give each of our trainees the time and opportunity to discuss, debate and question as well as providing ample one-on-one time with your senior trainer, Kristy. Each student has the opportunity to practice teach on a daily basis and a practice session with children from the community. Kristy provides positive, constructive feedback while supporting and guiding you with your development as a children's yoga teacher.
❈The Curriculum❈
Through interactive, experiential activities, group discussions, individual assignments, and daily practice teaching time, we will explore:
❈ Techniques and activities to introduce breath-work that will support children's mental health and well-being during every day experiences such as anxiety, sleep difficulties, hyper-activity and feelings of being overwhelmed.
❈ A range of classic and more creative, age-appropriate yoga poses and sequences, and how to teach this to each age group in an interactive and engaging way.
❈ Safe practices when teaching yoga poses, including what is developmental and age-appropriate and what to avoid.
❈ Creative meditations, including visualisations and moving meditations so that you will feel confident to share a range of different meditation techniques to children aged 3-18 years old, tailored towards their needs.
❈ Partner and group yoga fun for all ages, including mixed age-groups and family yoga.
❈ Challenging poses for Teens & Tweens including arm balances, back bends, and inversions (going upside down!).
❈ Combining key Educational Philosophy and teaching methodology so that you can fully understand how children learn and how you can tailor your classes to their learning needs and styles.
❈ Introducing yoga philosophy and practices to children of all ages, including Hindu Mythology, the Chakra System (the energetic body), The 8 Limbs of Yoga, Yamas and Niyamas.
❈ A variety of traditional and alternative Mandala Art Meditations to support children to reflect and process difficult emotions and events in their lives.
❈ Creative Mindfulness activities to enhance children's self-awareness and emotional intelligence.
❈ Therapeutic and nurturing yoga techniques for children with Special Needs.
❈ Understanding Autism, ADHD, Sensory Disorders, communication difficulties and social-emotional difficulties and how to effectively use yoga for each of these Special Educational Needs (SEN).
❈ Incorporating art, music, dance and nature into children's yoga.
❈ Interactive storytelling and yoga journeys for all age groups.
❈ Behaviour management in the yoga class so that you can feel confident to manage a group of children, in a positive and playful manner that enhances their social and behaviour skills.

Opening Circle - Packed full of games and ice-breakers, this is a fun way to get to know each other and start building our supportive and playful community.
Partner Yoga - Try out a range of playful and therapeutic partner poses, sequences, and relaxations for different age groups to understand how to build trust, support and connection through children's yoga.
Yoga Poses & Sequences - Experience and learn how to creatively teach all the fundamental poses, sequences, and meditation techniques for each specific age group through music, dance, art, games & play.
Pranayama for Children - Experiment with a variety of breathing techniques to calm, cool, energize and focus. Learn how to effectively teach each technique to each age group, when to practically apply them both in and out of your classes.
Yoga Philosophy - Delve into the fundamentals of the 4 Paths of Yoga, the 8 Limbs and the Chakra System through group discussions and partner work. You'll learn how to creatively weave yoga philosophy into your kids' classes.
The Developing Mind & Body - Learn all about the child's developing body and brain, the essentials of behavior cycles and learning styles.
Yoga for Children with Special Needs - Learn about the fundamental characteristics and needs of children with special needs including Autism, SPD, ADHD and Trauma. Gain a deeper insight into adapting classes, working one-on-one, creating a therapeutic environment and specific yoga, breathing and meditation strategies for certain special needs.
The Business of Children's Yoga - Now that you've got all the skills and knowledge, how are you going to share this with the world!? Leave the training with a clear idea of your vision for your future and an action plan to implement immediately.
